인터넷 사용이 급증하고 네트워크가 급격히 팽창하면서 보안 관리의 중요성에 대한 인식 또한 점차로 고조되어가고 있다. 또한 네트워크의 개방성과 시장성 등은 보안에 관한 문제성틀을 제기하였고 많은 사용자의 관심을 가져왔다. 보안 관리의 목적은 암호, 인증, 감사, 보안 행위등을 통합적으로 적용하여 안전한 네트워크 혹은 시스템을 제공하는 데 있다. 본 논문에서는 이 중 보안 행위의 하나인 침입 탐지 기술을 분석하고, 이를 기반으로 설계되고 구현된 시스템을 소개한다.

(English Abstract) |
The importance of security management become gradually recognized among network management developers as the Internet users are increased and the networks are rapidly expanded. Moreover, the liberalization, marketability, and openness of the Internet has brought critical security management issues and great attention of the Internet users. Security management has an ultimate goal to integrate security elements such as encryption, authentication, audit trail, and security systems in order to provide a safer network or system. In this paper, we present a security management system that we have designed to detect intrusions by monitoring network packets over the Internet.
